The year is 2021, Corona Virus has exposed the depth, breadth, and extent of Bigotry and ignorance that have passed under the bridge due to systemic discrimination. Is it time to alter Mankind's legislated course? The “Invisible Issue” persists and will remain a constant barrier to Humanity's progress and Future prosperity. Regardless of the Political climate, the Business climate or the Social Climate, the longer divisive words rests in the Language of Legislation, the more difficult to eradicate the Invisible Issue buried deeply by institutional and systemic Bigotry.
Removed, none can use it to claim any form of privilege or advantage over another by reason of Birthplace, Status, Caste, Diversity, Ethnicity or Culture as member of the Human Race. Couple the eradication of the term "Race" with that of the term “Colour,” and Mankind can claim a new lease on Life; fore these two, among all others create a division and an inequality that permeates through legislation, written and not by birth.
The Darkest and the Palest Human Beings on Earth are both descendants of Sub-Saharan Africans, and they are both equally Human Beings - PERIOD: Full Stop.
Regard the wording in the article cited, notice the divisive language and the misleading description of one man’s lack of colour as a “congenital disorder.” If being “White” is a congenital disorder, then Superiority or Supremacy suffer from disorder. How is a person of African descent, being Pale be described as a disorder, while Caucasians also being of African descent being equally Pale are not?
How many shades of Brown will an ignorant individual describe as “Black,” before realizing the darkest Brown is still Brown, and will never be Black? Race and/or Colour are written into the language of many Legislations that govern or regulate Labour, Business, Commerce, Economics, even an Individual's access to platforms used to support their Entrepreneurial ascension in the Business World.
