The Key Issues:
The essence, the core of the issue is the wording within legislated laws, rules, and regulations installed to govern. One gleans the keys to the problem:
- The ideology that Inequality maintains itself through unethical practice.
- That Bigotry legislates itself with discrimination and privilege.
- The usage of Discriminating Stereotypes as terms claimed to unite leads to division.
How does one adhere to the ideals of Chapter Eight of Textbook, “Business Ethics,” that details the “Recognizing and Respecting the Rights of All,” when those very Rights are unethically and unequally distributed through Legislation?
Within any ideology of Diversity is an accord of inequality, denied rights - here none can claim equality, while others have legislated themselves as Superiors. Equality demands the avoidance of Superiority and Inferiority.
An ethical choice demands that such ideology be dismantled to reflect the true essence of Human Rights: Equality, Equity, and most importantly Justice. Inequality can no longer maintain inequality, where Balance and Harmony are desired. Bigotry can no longer be regarded as an ideology of Equity. Division can no longer be the formula meant to Unity.
Unity cannot be achieved through Categorization or divisive rhetoric. It can not be borne on the backs of Stereotypes or discriminatory dialogue. It must, by its earnest nature and of its desired effect, eradicate the those divisive terms that through utterance separates a whole into discriminated parts.
A single slice of Pizza is called nothing less than Pizza, and by no other term is the portion known. Mankind is a singularity, a whole Race, a single Species, and in the Blanket of Absolutes should not divide itself by the term: Race or Species. Mankind must forge a new, more Ethical Path.
